DESCRIPTION:

Da Hong Pao (大红袍, Big Red Robe) is one of the most prestigious and legendary Wuyi Yancha (rock-grown oolong) teas, originating from the rugged cliffs of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. Known as the “King of Oolongs,” this tea has been revered for centuries for its bold character, deep roasted aroma, mineral-rich taste, and long, smooth finish.

The rocky terroir, combined with traditional charcoal roasting, gives Da Hong Pao its famous “Yan Yun” (岩韵) — the unique minerality and layered complexity only found in authentic Wuyi rock oolongs. Each cup reveals caramel notes, toasted nuts, dried fruits, subtle orchids, and hints of dark chocolate, leaving a silky, satisfying aftertaste that lingers.

Tea-to-Water Ratio: 6-8g per 100ml
